Boise, ID — On Friday December 16th at 4pm the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl will host the fourth Albertsons Tackle Hunger event at Bishop Kelly High School.
The athletes and coaches from both Eastern Michigan and San Jose State will be competing against each other to see who can package the most meals for Idaho families facing food insecurity. The meals will consist of apple cinnamon oatmeal and will be supplemented with an additional 21,000 meals consisting of meat and potatoes donated by Idaho based co- sponsoring companies including J.R. Simplot Company, Idaho Grower Shippers Association, and Albertsons.

The teams will endeavor to produce 40,000+ meals, over the last three Tackle Hunger events competing teams have exceeded the goal of 120,00 meals. These meals will help close the gap of feeding more than 152,00 Idahoans facing food insecurity during the holiday season and thought the year
